At Di Palma’s, we believe that great food brings people together. Our journey is one of love for Italian cuisine, a commitment to quality, and a dedication to creating unforgettable dining experiences.

GOOD PEOPLE. GOOD FOOD. GOOD TIMES.

our story

Di Palma’s was born from a simple dream: to share the warmth and richness of Italian culture through food. We were first established in Barkers Road in 1988 by John Di Palma, his wife and a small team of dedicated staff. Inspired by generations of family recipes and a passion for authentic flavours, we’ve grown into a cherished destination for locals and visitors alike. We’re proud to be a part of Kew’s vibrant food scene and to give back to the community that supports us.

We source the finest local and imported ingredients to create dishes that honour the classics while embracing modern creativity. Every plate is a reflection of our commitment to quality, seasonality, and the joy of sharing a meal with loved ones.

Our success comes from the fact that our ever-changing menu caters for guests of all ages, from family get-togethers to corporate events. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with a true taste of Italy with a chic Melbourne twist.

Di Palma's Dining Table with Croquettes, Arancini, Wine, Seafood Stew

From our a la carte menu, enjoy our long standing classic dishes such as our semolina dusted calamari, our delicious half duck and Italian fish stew.  Not to forget what put us on the map in 1988: our wood-fired pizzas. Some of our recipes have been in the family for generations, including Mama Di Palmas’ gnocchi recipe, which has been on our menu since we first opened our doors.
