Di Palma's traditional Italian restaurant in Melbourne's east.
John Di Palma, owner

GOOD PEOPLE. GOOD FOOD. GOOD TIMES.

We were first established in Barkers Road in 1988 by John Di Palma, his wife and a small team of dedicated staff. Since then, this family business has evolved into a local icon, providing a first class Italian restaurant experience in Melbourne’s east.
Whilst we know our regular customers love our renowned classics and signature dishes, we are also passionate about offering a modern and evolving menu.

Our success comes from the fact that our ever-changing menu caters for guests of all ages, from family get-togethers to corporate events. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with a true taste of Italy with a chic Melbourne twist.
— John Di Palma

From our a la carte menu, enjoy our long standing classic dishes such as our semolina dusted calamari, our delicious half duck and Italian fish stew.  Not to forget what put us on the map in 1988; our wood-fired pizzas. Some of our recipes have been in the family for generations including Mama Di Palmas’ gnocchi recipe which has been on our menu since we first opened our doors.

We believe in staying true to the genuine Italian dining experience, where people celebrate life around a lively table sharing not only good food but also stories and laughter.

This is Di Palma’s; simple ingredients, enriched by regional influences, combined with an unforgettable Melbourne Italian Restaurant experience, and the perfect atmosphere to have a meal with friends or a romantic dinner with a loved one.
