Di Palma’s was first established in 1988 in Hawthorn, where it was one of the first restaurants in Melbourne to serve gourmet wood fired pizzas and has earned its reputation on them.

AboutUs-Pic02Since our inception, we were popular with patrons because we provided them a memorable yet affordable dining experience, our popularity has gone from strength to strength. Our restaurant caters for people from all walks of life and tastes, and they keep coming back, so we know we’re doing something right.
Di Palma’s success as a local icon comes down to providing patrons with quality and variety. As restauranteur John Di Palma says,” Our success comes from the fact that we cater for a broad spectrum, from families to singles, older folks as well as corporate lunch & dinners. And we do it well and with style.”

As we have evolved, we have tailored our offerings to meet the needs of our clientele. Not only do we have an extensive and everchanging wine list, we allow BYO (wine only) in the main part of our dining room ie. the private dining rooms, the lounge area and all types of functions are fully licenced therefore not BYO (corkage charge is $10 per bottle).  Apart from a great place to have a meal with friends or a romantic dinner with a loved one, we also offer exceptional private dining rooms and function catering.
